‘Play Classical Guitar’ is a step-by-step method, with accompanying audio and video tracks, written by a professional player with more than twenty years experience of teaching guitar.

Richard Faint B.Sc, PGCE, Dip Ed Tech, FCIPD has been playing guitar for more than 30 years, and has successfully taught literally hundreds of pupils over the last twenty years. Educated at Edinburgh University then undertaking teacher training in London, he later studied with David Russell, (one of the UK’s foremost concert players) and also attended several of the late John Duarte’s Summer Schools.
In the 1980’ and 90’s he was a guitar tutor for Glasgow schools as well as the Inner London Education Authority, where he was instructed in the ‘ensemble’ method of tuition, a technique especially useful for beginners and younger pupils.
The course comprises of two units (in total equivalent to around twelve one hour lessons) and is available on-line, or in hard copy and DVD disks if required. The instructional material combines audio, video and text to create a powerful learning environment. You will also get access to the resources area of the website for one year where new tunes, tutorials, hints and tips and other information will be posted on a regular basis.
